Exercise Benchmarks
Hit the start button and let “My Musicianship” guide your work.
The curriculum charts a path of quizzes on content and
exercises to develop skills.
The homepage is your "My Work" page, listing the benchmarks of the curriculum. These benchmarks are organized in units. Each unit ends with culminating quizzes. These are marked in purple.
Take these proficiency quizzes ANYTIME!
If you find that you already know how to do the material and do not need the practice, jump to the culminating quizzes. Finishing them quickly with a high score will 'prove proficiency' for prior un-taken benchmarks in the unit covering similar skills.
If you are registered, your benchmark progress is saved in your “My Work” page.
You can see how much time you have spent on each benchmark and where you are on your path.
It is also fine, if you prefer, to work on benchmarks out of order, work on something different
for a change of pace, or explore harder material. Your work will still be
saved and recorded as long as you are logged in.
Weekly Logs
My Musicianship keeps track of your weekly work. Your instructor may require you to complete a certain number of minutes per week. You can view your weekly log reports and grading period statistics on the weekly logs page.

Register and Login
To register, click the “register” button on the homepage,
also accessable through the button on the right. Once you’ve registered, find the login at the top of the homepage as well as in the menu under the gear icon. By registering, your work will be saved,
and when you return, you will start right where you left off.
If you are using MyMusicianship for a class at a school or a studio, you will need
the join-code provided by your instructor, and
your instructor pays for your registration.
Profile and Settings
Profile
Your profile is the information used to login and link your account to your instructor’s.
You can change this information on your profile, found on the “profile” page.
If you need to add your instructor’s join-code after initially registering, do it on
your profile!
Settings
Just below your profile information on the “profile” page are
controls to set your voice part and preferred clef. Your voice part is used in the ear training exercises, allowing you to
sing along with a voice of the same gender and range.
Computer Keyboard Shortcuts
Many exercises require alphabet entry, such as identifying letter names and key signatures.
If you are at a computer, you can use your computer keyboard instead of the on-screen entry tool.
Notice that there are many options to enter sharps and flats.
The key ‘b’ counts both as the letter ‘b’ and also as a flat, depending
upon context (basically whichever one is correct).
Midi Keyboard Entry
Many exercises require a piano keyboard. If you have a midi keyboard attached to your computer or device,
you can use it instead of the on-screen entry tool.
Test that you are connected correctly with the tools below:
if working, box will light when keyboard keys are pressed.
none found
if above is blank, no midi input can be found.
Please check your midi connection and refresh this page.
Exercises demonstrating mastery over letter name recogition do not allow keyboard entry.
Instructors
Register as an instructor in order to create classes and see progress of your students.
You can set weekly required minimum
practice time and see reports of how much they get done each week.
To create a class, just set a join-code and have students register. Alternatively, you can
upload a roster, or manually input your students.
More detailed help is available on instructor’s help page, located under the
icon in the banner, once you are logged-in as an instructor.
costs?
Please register yourself and try it out. You can try it out for up to two weeks.
If you find that it is valuable, you can pay as little as $5 per student. See the payment page for details. I will contact you with an invoice or can disable your account if you decide to not continue using it.
Your payment covers your students entirely- they do not pay on top of it.
More information is located on the instructor’s help page after you register and login.
